Huaraz is the international capital of friendship and the capital of Andinism in South America; this is one of the most modern cities of the Andean region of Peru.
Located in the heart of the Peruvian Andes about 408 km on the north of Lima, Huaraz is surrounded by the Cordillera Blanca and Negra thus forming the famous valley known as Callejon de Huaylas regarded as one of the major tourist destinations of Peru; this thing due to the beauty of its landscapes and archaeological monuments Pre Inca and Inca, Huaraz is a privileged city preserving a natural cultural and human wealth.



FIRST DAY: LAGUNAS DE LLANGANUCO


Huaraz CordilleraDeparture from your hotel at 9:00 a.m. We'll go towards the north of the valley (Callejņn de Huaylas) visiting Carhuaz, Mancos, Ranranhirca, Yungay Sepolta, Las lagunas and Llanganuco.
Back to New Yungay and tour of Caraz (Lunch), around the Plaza de Armas will taste Manjar Blanco in one of its derivatives Production of milk ... a tasting of typical ice cream and fruit liquors that are produced in this area.
Returning to the town of Huaraz with a stop to visit a craftsman laboratory of ceramic in Taricą.
The return is expected about at 18:00 p.m.


SECOND DAY: CHAVIN DE HUANTAR

Historical, cultural and archaeological tour through the cities of Recuay, Cątac and Laguna Querococha where the landscape is really wonderful and you can take beautiful pictures ... we will cross the Cordillera Blanca passing through the amazing tunnel of Cahuish (4550 m) coming so in Chavin where we will visit the city and its millennial temple.
Round trip to Huaraz where we 'll arrive about at 18:00.


THIRD DAY: RUINAS DE JONCOPAMPA Y CATARATA DE AKILPO


Huaraz CordilleraWe leave from your Hotel at 8:00 a.m.
We'll go up to north of Callejon, near Tarica (30 minutes from Huaraz), where you start the climb up to the ruins of pre Incas Joncopampa.
When we arrive we meet a pretty waterfall and the beginning of Quebrada Akilpo and then we continue with a guided visit to the ruins.
On the way back to Huaraz we can visit the baths of Monterrey or the baths of Chancas near Marcarą.
The return back in the hotel is expected for 16:00 p.m.


4th DAY: LAGUNA DE LLACA + CITY TOUR DE HUARAZ


Huaraz CordilleraWe leave in the morning at 7:00 a.m., we'll know the Calle Olaya, the only one that remained standing after the terrible earthquake of 1970, and after we'll visit the archaeological museum of the Plaza de Armas.
We will continue rising until the Quebrada Llaca, with a stop during the journey in a lodge constructed by English men in a style of an alpine refuge, where we can enjoy a tea and advantage to take pictures of beautiful landscape.
In the Quebrada Llaca you visit the lagoon that takes the same name to 4000 metres at the foot of Nevado Ocshapalca (5888 meters) and Ranrapalca (6162 meters) where we will walk for 10 minutes until you reach the shelter of this Quebrada refuge until the lagoon.
From here we'll begin to get down visiting the ruins of the Incas Pre Wilkawain at 3300 m.
We'll end with baths of Monterrey where people can take advantages of a relaxing bath.


5th DAY: HUARAZ


Huaraz CordilleraFree day to rest and walk near Huaraz, during the afternoon or during the evening transfer to Bus Terminal.

Maybe it will be some variations on this journey due to climate, because for example in times of rain is better to climb the first lagoon and ending the tour visiting the baths and the city.
